Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is ideally located right on the seafront with private parking and couldn't be better for exploring the town and local amenities. The rooms were very well designed, although some at the rear were rather cramped. The service was outstanding with excellent, friendly staff who went out of their way to assist us. The dining options were really good with a wide selection available. Overall, a well-run establishment that offers a comfortable and convenient stay.
The hotel left me with mixed feelings. While the location was superb, right on the seafront near Sidmouth town, the rooms, costing well over £800 for 4 nights for half board, were a letdown with an obstructed view of a flat roof outside my window for the entire stay. The service was exceptional, even though they seemed a bit short-staffed, going above and beyond to assist. The dining experience was delightful with a variety of delicious options, including Fairtrade hot drinks. However, the hotel didn't fully utilize its great location, and the price for the rooms was quite high for what was offered.
The hotel offers a comfortable stay with friendly service and a great location right on the seafront. The dining experience was satisfactory overall with a variety of options available. Some noise from the kitchen vents in the room could be a minor inconvenience.
